Može se uspješno gajiti u našim krajevima, lako podnosi naše klimatske uslove, pa je stoga čest stanovnik naših bašti ili terasa. Ukoliko tek planirate da gajite ovu aromatičnu biljku, u daljem tekstu slijedi par jednostavnih savjeta za uspješno gajenje lavande. Sadnju je najbolje odraditi u proljećnim mjesecima, aprilu odnosno maju. , i najraskošnija je ljeti, kada su temperature iznad 30C. Prilikom sadnje odaberite mjesto koje je najviše izloženo suncu, jer lavanda slabo uspijeva u polusjeni i sjeni. Da li ćete je gajiti u saksiji ili u žardinjeri, zavisi isključivo od vas. Cvetovi su svetlo do tamnoljubičasti i javljaju se u periodu između juna i avgusta, a pored toga jako je dekorativna i u periodu van cvetanja zahvaljujući gustom žbunastom habitusu i sivo-zele­nim do srebrnastim listovima.
